# How to Buy Codex Credits from China: ChatGPT Credits in RMB (2026)

Codex usage comes with ChatGPT Plus or Pro. When that included allowance runs out, you don't have to jump to a higher Pro tier right away: you can add **ChatGPT Credits** and keep using Codex (and related surfaces) at pay-as-you-go rates.

How do you buy Codex credits from mainland China? OpenAI's own checkout still wants a card. An RMB top-up on your **existing** Plus or Pro account lets you pay with WeChat Pay or Alipay, then add Credits with a Session—no password.

## Why this is awkward from China

Official billing for ChatGPT still expects a card. Mainland cards are often declined; Alipay and WeChat Pay aren't available at OpenAI checkout. A managed top-up is the usual RMB path that keeps the account yours.

**Your account needs:**
- An **active Plus or Pro** subscription right now (opposite of Go/Plus/Pro top-ups, which need Free).
- Browser access so you can copy a Session.

**How to order:**
1. On the [pricing page](/en/pricing), open the ChatGPT Credits section and pick 500 or 1000.
2. Pay, then on "Enter your info" paste everything from `https://chatgpt.com/api/auth/session`. Confirm the email. No password.
3. After payment is verified, expect about **3–5 minutes** (WeChat orders wait for receipt confirmation).
4. Confirm in ChatGPT that Credits are available once plan limits are exhausted.

## FAQ
